The Ed Posh Scholarship Fund exists through the generosity of individual and corporate contributions, volunteer efforts and fundraising event participation. The Fund's volunteer Board of Directors has set a short term goal to award four renewable scholarships each year, and a long term goal of helping the scholarship fund become a self-sustaining endowment.
Since inception in 1995 and including 2023 the scholarship fund will have provided $1,150,000 to 114 students. The goal of the Fund is to make the Scholarship program self sustaining, in order to continue to grant scholarships honoring the lifetime contributions of Ed Posh, Head Pro Emeritus of the Village Links of Glen Ellyn. Ed's untiring work over his career helped our area youth learn critical life skills and personal responsibility. The scholarship program honors his achievements by helping meritorious but disadvantaged area youths meet the challenge of increasingly costly higher education.
The Ed Posh Scholarship Fund is a 501 C 3 Non-Profit organization in good standing under IRS (EIN 36-4055410) and under Illinois State (Secretary of State File # 58640557) rules. The Fund is also exempt from Sales Tax according to the Illinois and local regulations. Your contribution does qualify for a tax deduction within the year it was made. All Fund services are performed by volunteers, so 100% of your contributions go to scholarships.
