The annual Ed Posh Scholarship Shootout (Golf & Dinner event) took place und beautiful weather conditions on July 14, 2017 at the Village Golf Course in Glen Ellyn. 128 golfers competed in the golf scramble for the coveted POSH CUP, which was won by the MESSERSCHMIDT 4-some (Eric Messerschmidt, Rob Cannel, Mike Kotalik, Tony D’Angelo)!
Our Hole in One prices were:
#3 – New TOYOTA CAMRY by Toyota Lombard
#8 – SPECIALIZED CROSSTRAIL Bicycle donated by the Ducar family
#11 – $ 5,000 in WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCES, donated by Young’s Appliances
#17 – Two Year Lease of a 2017 MUSTANG COUPE. donated by Packey Webb Ford
The $ 1,000 prize for the annual Shootout with a total of 12 qualified golfers competing on the 18th hole during the evening events was won by Todd Brainerd, congratulations. The evening events with over 200 dinner guests proceeded with a delicious PIG-ROAST DINNER prepared by the staff of the Reserve 22 at the Links under Chef Manny, live and silent auctions & DJ entertainment. Silent auction items included a golf trip for 4 to Kiawah Island, SC, a dinner for 10 prepared by chef Manny, 2 Nights & Golf at destination Kohler, WI, a Bandon Dunes, OR, golf trip for 4 and a Broil King BBQ unit!
Our guests enjoyed a beautiful summer evening. Our 2017 scholars were introduced at a special luncheon before the festivities!
The generosity and contributions of our participating patrons, donors, sponsors, local businesses made it possible for us to meet our 2017 financial fundraising objectives and to raise the necessary funds for the 2017 scholarships. THANK YOU!
