Since its organization in 1996, the Fund has awarded over $1 million in college scholarships to deserving area students. In 2021 there will be 16 scholars in school collectively receiving $80,000 in assistance.
Deborah Burzynski, chairman of the scholarship committee, announced the four new 2021 scholars, saying “It was a pleasure meeting so many talented scholars. The decision is difficult as we see so many exceptional candidates apply for the scholarship.”.
William Hohe
a senior from Glenbard West High School, will be attending the University of Illinois to pursue a degree in Photography and Photo Journalism.
Charles Duncan Menard
a senior from Glenbard South High School, will attend Purdue University to pursue a degree in Geology and Planetary Science.
Pavel Paunov
a senior from Glenbard North High School, plans to pursue a career in Psychology and Theater from the University of Illinois.
Colleen Shanahan
a senior at Glenbard West High School, will attend the University of Pennsylvania to study Nursing and become a Nurse Practitioner.
